The Twenty Third Psalm The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. |
The Lord’s Prayer Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive those who trespass against us; And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, Now and forever Amen. Matthew 6:9-13 |
"Little Dove"
On the wings of this white dove I’ll set your spirit free. Up into the big deep sky, to heaven, where you’ll be. I know God has a plan for us, he wants us by his side. But it is hard for us to understand when we are left behind. Little dove, help lift our hearts as we watch you go, God is there if we just ask, because He loves us so. |
She's Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she’s gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. |
YOU NEVER SAID GOODBYE
You never said I'm leaving, You never said goodbye.
You were gone before I knew it, And only God knew why.
A million times I needed you, A million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, In death I love you still.
In my heart you hold a place, That no one could ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you, But you didn't go alone
For part of me went with you, The day God took you home.
YOU NEVER SAID GOODBYE

“I am Still With You”
If it seems that I am far away on this empty and solemn day, Just open your heart and know it’s true, that I am still right here with you. If during the day things are going wrong, please don’t feel sad and alone. Just open your heart and know it’s true, that I am still right here with you. When nighttime falls and the day is done. If you are feeling alone and sleep won’t come, Just open your heart and know it’s true, that I am still right here with you. Close your eyes, and feel the warm embrace. Sleep peacefully in the wings of grace. If sadness finds you in the morning light, if you feel alone, don’t give up trying! Hold this feather close and know it’s true, that I am always here with you. "With the Rustle of Wings"
With the rustle of wings I’ll take your memories along As I soar up to the heavens From where they just played that song. Just part your hands open As you feel my beating heart. My soul is alive as I Now depart. With the rustle of wings, I’ll enter the pearly gates. I’ll be with family from long ago and For you I will wait. Always keep this feather close As a reminder of my souls release And in every whisper of the wind you’ll hear the rustle of my wings. IN Memory
Those we love, don't go away, they walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. |
"Mother and Child"
Our loved ones do not weep and worry of us…. We’re being carried to the arms of our precious Jesus. Just my baby and me on the wings of a dove… The angels are waiting in the heavens above. To take us to our mansion just beyond those pearly gates… To help us get settled in where there we will wait. For our loved ones to join us above in heavens nursery…to see the miracle of eternal life and feel the power of Gods mercy. "God Saw You Getting Tired" God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be. So He wrapped His arms around you, And whispered, “Come unto me”. You didn’t deserve what you went through, And so He gave you rest. God’s garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. So when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful and free from pain. I could not wish you to come back, to suffer that all again. "Mother and Child"

I Said A Prayer For You Today
I said a prayer for you today And know God must have heard- I felt the answer in my heart Although He spoke no word! I didn't ask for wealth or fame (I knew you wouldn't mind)- I asked Him to send treasures Of a far more lasting kind! I asked that He'd be near you At the start of each new day To grant you health and blessings And friends to share your way! I asked for happiness for you In all things great and small- But it was for His loving care I prayed for most of all! If Tears Could Build A Stairwell
If tears could build a stairwell and memories were a lane, I would walk right up to Heaven and bring you home again. No farewell words were spoken, no time to say good-bye... You were gone before I knew it, and only God knows why. My heart still aches in sadness and secret tears still flow, What it means to lose you no one will ever know. |
GOD'S GARDEN
God looked around his garden And found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids And whispered, ‘Peace be thine’. It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn’t go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. –Anonymous

BROKEN CHAIN
We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide; and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same; But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. |

WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME
When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise, and find our eyes, all filled with tears for me.
I wish you wouldn’t cry, the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things, we just did not say.
I know how much you love me, as much as I love you.
Each time that you think of me, I know you will miss me too.
When tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand.
That an angel came, and called my name, and took me by the hand.
The angel said, my place was ready, in heaven far above.
And that I would have to leave behind, all those I Dearly Love.
But when I walked through Heaven’s Gates, I felt so much at home.
When God Looked down and smiled at me from his golden throne.
He said this is Eternity, and all I promised you.
Today my life on earth is done, but here it starts a new.
I promised no tomorrow, for today will always last.
And since each day’s the exact same way, there is no longing for the past.
So When Tomorrow starts without me do not think we’re apart.
For every time you think of me, remember I’m right here in your heart.
When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see,
If the sun should rise, and find our eyes, all filled with tears for me.
I wish you wouldn’t cry, the way you did today,
While thinking of the many things, we just did not say.

Don’t Cry For Me
Don’t cry for me. I will be okay. Heaven is my home now, and this is where I’ll stay. Don’t cry for me. I’m where I belong. I want you to be happy and try to stay strong. Don’t cry for me. It was just my time, But I will see you someday on the other side. Don’t cry for me. I’m not alone. The angels are with me to welcome me home. Don’t cry for me, for I have no fear. All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears. Don’t cry for me. This is not the end. I’ll be waiting here for you when we meet again. Footprints in The Sand
One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me." He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you." |
Your Mother Is Always With You
She’s the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street. She’s the smell of certain foods you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself. She’s the cool hand on your brow when you’re not feeling well. She’s your breath in the air on a cold winters’ day. She is the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow. She is Christmas morning. Your mother lives inside your laughter. She’s the place you come from, your first home. She’s the map you follow with every step you take. She’s your first love, your first friend, even your first enemy. But nothing on Earth can separate you. Not time. Not space. Not even death. Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen. |
“Remember Me”
Speak of me as you have always done.
Remember the good times, laughter, and fun.
Share the happy memories we’ve made.
Do not let them wither or fade.
I’ll be with you in the summer’s sun,
And when the winter’s chill has come.
I’ll be the voice that whispers in the breeze.
I’m peaceful now, put your mind at ease.
I’ve rested my eyes and gone to sleep,
But the memories we’ve shared are yours to keep.
Sometimes our final days may be a test.
But remember me when I was at my best.
Although things may not be the same,
Don’t be afraid to use my name.
Let your sorrow last for just a while
Comfort each other and try to smile.
I’ve lived a life filled with joy and fun.
Live on now, make me proud of what you’ll become.
You Meant So Much
You meant so much to all of us, You were special and that's no lie You brightened up the darkest day And the cloudiest sky Your smile alone warmed hearts Your laugh was like music to hear I would give absolutely anything To have you well and standing near Not a second passes When you're not on our minds Your love we will never forget The hurt will ease in time Many tears I have seen and cried They have all poured out like rain I know that you are happy now And no longer in any pain. One Day at a Time
You lived your life one day at a time. The words you shared were always kind. You loved us all with your whole heart. It saddens us to be apart, and forever we Hold you in our hearts. Today you stand in God’s bright light. Watching over us day we meet again… Forever Your love will live on in our hearts And the hearts of those you touched. We are so grateful to God for blessing our lives with The beautiful gift of you. We miss you sweet angel, more then you can imagine. Life
Life is just a stepping-stone, A pause before we make it home, A simple place to rest and be, Until we reach eternity, Everyone has a life journey, A path to take with lots to see God guides our steps along the way, But we were never meant to stay. Our final destination is a place, Filled with love, His majesty and grace. Today we celebrate the life of a loved one. Who has gone before us, the race he has won. His journey has now ended. His spirit has ascended Claiming the great reward With Jesus, our Lord. |
"Remember Me As I Rest"
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I've only gone to rest a while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going away has provide much relief. God wrapped me in His arms and called my name, to begin my time of rest, God’s garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now, but as I used to be. I will remember you all and look on with a smile, understand in your hearts I've only gone to rest for a while. As long as I have the love of each of you my life lives on in your hearts, so bright and so true. Miss Me But Let Me Go When I come to the end of the road And the sun has set for me, Shed not a tear in a gloom filled room, Why cry for a soul that has been set free! Miss me a little, but not for long, And not with your head bowed low. Remember the love that we once shared, Miss me, but let me go! For this is a journey we all must take, And each must go alone; It’s all a part of the Master’s plan A step on the road to home. When you are lonely and sick at heart, Go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me but let me go. On The Wings of An Angel
In the distance, I could see life's storm coming, No place to hide, And then I heard a sweet voice that said, "On my Wings you can ride." Gripping hold of the angel's wing, a feeling came over me, I can't explain, But as I lifted up, in my face, I felt the sprinkle of tear's rain. My ailing body felt very light and no longer racked with pain, I felt anew, Fear of the storm no longer gripped me as it passed from my view, On the wings of an angel, I experienced a blessing that I didn't know was there, And the angel said, "don't forget to reach out for me, I am everywhere." Angels know how to safely navigate the sharp turns and detours we face, Angels are a blessing delivering God's Amazing Grace, and on that special day like none other did I know, My angel showed up and said, "It's time to go." So if a storm threatens and no shelter is available to you, Just remember to grab hold of an angel's wings, and glide safely through |
When I Lost You
I wish I could see you one more time come walking through the door But I know that is impossible I will hear your voice no more. I know you can feel my tears and you don't want me to cry Yet my heart is broken because I cant understand why someone so precious had to die. I pray that God will give me strength and somehow get me through As I struggle with this heartache that came when I lost you. |
When I'm Gone
When I come to the end of my journey And I travel my last weary mile Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned And remember only the smile Forget unkind words I have spoken Remember some good I have done Forget that I ever had heartache And remember I've had loads of fun Forget that I've stumbled and blundered And sometimes fell by the way Remember I have fought some hard battles And won, ere the close of the day Then forget to grieve for my going I would not have you sad for a day But in summer just gather some flowers And remember the place where I lay And come in the shade of evening When the sun paints the sky in the west Stand for a few moments beside me And remember only my best |

If you have a poem, we welcome you to share.
